I've Got A Love

A few weekends ago I broke out the Gaywool dyes that Josh bought me for my birthday. I had some white merino roving laying around so I threw it in the dye pot along with two small skeins of white yarn. This was my first experience dying wool all by myself and it was really exciting and fun!

I didn't leave the merino in the dye pot for the suggested amount of time because I didn't want the colors to be too bright. The result was this lovely robins egg blue and warm medium brown mix.




Tomorrow I plan on heading out to The Mannings to buy a few more dyes. I need to expand my color palette a little bit. I'm thinking bright pink and purple...maybe a nice spring green?
